Cookies

Cookies are small files a site leaves in your browser. This site leaves exactly one, and it does not follow you around the web.

The only cookie we leave you

It makes the site work and cannot be turned off. It does not need your consent because without it the site would not behave the way you expect.

How we count visits, and why we do not ask your permission

We count how many people reach the site, which pages they read and where they came from (Instagram, Google, a direct link). We also measure how long a page takes to open on your phone, so we notice if it gets slow.

This measurement leaves no cookie in your browser, gives you no identifier and does not recognise you on other sites. It counts visits, not people: to us you are a number inside a total, and there is no way back from it to you. That is why it is always on and why you are not asked to allow it: there is nothing, on your devices or about your identity, for you to decide on.

If one day we use tools that do recognise you elsewhere — to show you one of our ads after you have been here, for instance — those will not start before you say yes, and this page will tell you so.

Getting out of the way anyway

You can delete cookies from your browser settings: search for the word cookie there and you will find them all, for every site. Most browsers also have a private browsing mode, which throws them away by itself when you close the window.
